Our mission

At the Sport Ability Foundation, we believe that physical limitations should never define human potential.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to empowering physically impaired athletes around the world by providing the resources, funding, and opportunities they need to pursue excellence in sport and in life.

Together with our partners, donors, and community, we are building a more accessible and equitable future — where every para athlete has the opportunity to compete, thrive, and be seen.

Why we exist

Talent is everywhere.
Access to adaptive
sport is not.

Sport Ability Foundation funds the development of adaptive sport for athletes with physical impairments — across disciplines, not one sport. We direct resources to emerging countries where equipment, coaching and competition pathways barely exist, and to women and girls with physical impairments, who remain the most under-supported group in the movement.

We work through targeted, verifiable grants: equipment for a national-level competitor, coach certification for a regional club, travel to a first international competition.

What we fund

Three funding priorities

Every grant we make sits in one of three programs, reviewed by the board on a rolling basis.

Program 01

Emerging Country Support

Supporting para athletes in developing nations with sport and leadership programs that build long-term success.

Program 02

Women Empowerment

Promoting inclusion and equity by empowering girls and women with physical impairments through tailored support and resources.

Program 03

Adaptive Sport Development

Expanding access in emerging communities through grassroots development, coaching and targeted funding partnerships.
